  OLYMPICS “Celebrate Humanity”

The Olympics is not just about sports. It’s also about sportsmanship and the celebration of humankind’s achievements beyond sports. In fact, the reason why the Olympics was started over 100 years ago was to bring nations together in order to promote world peace and to gain a greater understanding of people across the globe by uniting them every four years.
Rob Siltanen and the team at Chiat/Day created the “Celebrate Humanity” campaign to remind people of the true meaning of the Olympics and inspire them to live up to the Olympic ideals. The “Celebrate Humanity” television, radio and print campaign ran internationally prior to and during the Olympic Games in Sydney. It was also used as a sales tool to attract sponsors. While the ad campaign ran, the IOC received countless letters and emails from people across the globe saluting the effort. The Sydney Games also received the most sponsorship dollars in Olympic history.
